Our Vision
India is home to over 14 crore farming households who collectively produce food for 1.4 billion people. Yet the agricultural marketing ecosystem remains fragmented, opaque, and stacked against the primary producer. A potato farmer in Agra has no easy way to know that Azadpur Mandi in Delhi is paying ₹300 more per quintal than his local market — unless he makes expensive phone calls to commission agents or physically sends a scout.
Mandi Today exists to demolish this information wall. We believe that when a farmer can see — on their own phone, in their own language — what every mandi in their state is paying for their crop right now, the balance of power shifts. Better information leads to better selling decisions, which leads to better incomes. That is the entire thesis behind Mandi Today.
